Cape Town Backgammon and Arthurs Mini Super are collaborating to host a Winter series of 3 backgammon nights in 2026. The first night took place on Thursday 21st of May, with Nicholas finishing top, defeating Tanya in the final. Four players tied for 3rd place: Menno, Pierre, Josh and Martin.

The tournaments have been run by Cape Town Backgammon as a series of 1pt (DMP) matches, with matches scheduled using a Swiss-format sorting method, limited to 32 players in total. Entry fee is R250 and includes a R50 food and drink voucher. The rest of the money goes back into the prize pool, with prizes on offer at the end of every evening, as well as at the end of the series for the top players, based on points accrued over the tournament series.
